Apps Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Klickkk Digital (the “Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) builds Shopify Apps for merchants using the Shopify platform. This apps privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you install or use any of our Apps, regardless of the app type (embedded apps, theme extensions, storefront apps, admin apps, popup widgets, etc.).

By installing or using any of our Apps, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree with the terms of this policy, please do not install or use the App.

2. Information We Collect

When you install the App, we automatically access and collect information required to operate and authenticate the App:

• Merchant information — store name and store domain, contact email, phone number, address (from Shopify store profile), Shop ID and Shopify plan, theme details and app embed status (if applicable), OAuth access scopes and API permissions granted, billing information necessary for Shopify’s subscription or usage charges (processed securely by Shopify), and App configuration settings you provide.
• Storefront visitor information — depending on the App’s features, we may collect limited non-identifiable information from visitors on your online store: IP address (may be anonymized), browser and device type, pages where the App loads, interaction events with the App’s UI elements (e.g., clicks, impressions), approximate geolocation (country), and cookies or local storage for feature functionality.
• App usage data — feature usage, error logs, performance and loading metrics, webhook events, and API call activity. This helps us improve and maintain the App.
• Optional data (feature-based) — if the App includes optional features requiring customer data storage (such as forms, popups, contact messages), you will be informed inside the App settings. Merchants are responsible for ensuring compliance with customer data laws when enabling such features.

We do not collect credit card information or Shopify login details.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected data to:

• Authenticate and install the App on your Shopify store
• Provide the App’s features and integrations
• Deliver customer support
• Improve performance, stability, and UX
• Troubleshoot technical issues
• Process billing through Shopify
• Generate anonymized analytics
• Comply with platform and legal requirements

We do not sell, rent, or trade any merchant or visitor information.

4. Cookies & Tracking

Some Apps may use cookies, pixels, or local storage for:

• Feature operation — essential cookies and local storage required for the App’s core functionality.
• Session tracking — tracking visitor interactions and App usage sessions.
• Analytics — collecting anonymized data on how merchants and visitors use the App.
• Preference storage — storing user preferences and settings within the App.

You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of the App.

5. Data Storage & Security

We use secure servers and industry-standard protections, including:

• Encryption at rest and in transit — all data is encrypted using modern cryptographic standards.
• Secure API token storage — OAuth tokens and API credentials are stored securely with role-based access control.
• Active monitoring — regular vulnerability scanning and security monitoring.
• Role-based access control — limited personnel have access to merchant data, and access is logged and reviewed.

While we take advanced security measures, no system is completely immune to compromise. We encourage merchants to maintain secure Shopify store practices.

6. Data Retention & App Uninstallation

We retain data only as long as required for:

• App functionality
• Support obligations
• Legal compliance
• Accurate billing

When you uninstall the App:

• Shopify sends us an uninstall webhook, and we automatically delete all merchant-identifiable data within 30 days.
• Remaining logs become anonymized for analytics and error tracing.

7. Your Rights

As a merchant, you may request:

• Right of access — to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you and your store.
• Right to rectification — to request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Right to erasure — to request deletion of your data, typically within 30 days of uninstallation or request.
• Right to opt out — from any marketing or non-essential data processing at any time by contacting us.
